ECHO will conduct a virtual Tester Training for persons interested in assisting us to uncover housing discrimination in Alameda, Contra Costa, and Monterey Counties.
Testers play an integral part in helping ECHO investigate complaints of housing discrimination. Testers are trained to pose as home seekers, collect information, and report their experiences to ECHO Housing Staff.
Testers work as independent contractors on a part-time, as-needed basis. Compensation for the project is $55 per site test and $25 per phone test. Testers must have good observation, communication, and writing skills. They must be dependable and work well independently.
ECHO Housing cannot accept applicants with previous drug, perjury, or felony convictions.
Attendees are required to have their cameras ON during the training. Attendees will not be able to participate without being visible.
